Epsom Salt for Dogs and Cats
Epsom salt is a naturally occurring mineral compound that is made up of magnesium and sulfate. It has been used for centuries for its many health benefits, both for humans and animals.
For pets, Epsom salt can be used topically to treat a variety of conditions, including:
Red, Itchy skin: Epsom salt can help to soothe irritated skin. It can also help to remove dead skin cells and promote new cell growth.
Itchy Paws (Interdigital Dermatitis): Epsom salt soaks can help to treat mild infection and heal itchy paws.

To give your dog an Epsom salt bath, simply add 1 cup of Epsom salt to a bathtub filled with warm water. Let your dog soak for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Be sure to dry your dog thoroughly after the bath.
For cats, you can use about 2 teaspoons in a bowl of warm water. You can either soak the affected area or make a compress with a wash cloth soaked in the epsom salt solution.

Use lukewarm water. Hot water can irritate your dog's skin.
