Natural Products for Skin Problems in Dogs and Cats

Allergies and skin problems are frequent issues in dogs and cats. They can be caused by food allergies, environmental allergies, fleas and skin infections.

Here are some natural products that may help alleviate skin allergy symptoms in dogs and cats:






Healing Gel for Dogs

Great for hot spots, wounds, skin irritations, allergies, dermatitis, rashes, bug bites, burns, dry skin, alopecia, fungal infections, yeast infections, bacterial infections, mites, calluses, lick granulomas, etc.

 

Rub into affected area 2-3 times a day.  Safe for dogs to lick.  Non-greasy, clear gel formula. Not recommended for cats.

 

Ingredients:  Aloe Gel with organic essential oils of lavender, tea tree, neem and eucalyptus.

Healing Gel for Cats

Great for skin irritations, wounds, abscesses, hot spots, miliary dermatitis, rashes, alopecia, bug bites, burns, dry skin, fungal infections, bacterial infections, yeast infections, etc.

 

Rub into affected area 1-2 times a day.  Non-greasy gel, safe for cats to lick. Safe for dogs.

 

Ingredients:  Aloe gel, Chinese herbs, organic neem oil, and organic lavender oil.

Herbal Ear Wash

Great for routine ear cleaning and to treat mild ear infections.  Can also be used as a wash on the skin for hot spots and infections.

 

Directions:  Shake Well. Pour a small amount into ear canal, massage base of ear to loosen up debris.  Then wipe with a cotton ball or gauze pad.  Never use a Q-tip.  You can clean ears weekly or as needed. You can also place a few drops into the ear canal after swimming/bathing and to treat mild infections.

Ingredients:  Aloe, organic witch hazel, Chinese herbal concentrate, org. lavender oil, org. tea tree oil, and org. eucalyptus oil.

Herbal Flea Powder

Great as a preventative for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and other insects.  Can be used directly on the pet and also on bedding and places where pets lie.

 

Depending on the size of your pet, use 1 tsp or more.  Brush or rub directly into the fur.  Cover pet from neck to tail.  Avoid getting in the eyes.   Each application will last from a few days to a few weeks and will need to be reapplied as needed.

 

Ingredients:  Diatomaceous earth, organic neem powder, organic yarrow powder.  The dog formula also contains eucalyptus oil.

 


Herbal Hot Spot Spray for Dogs and Cats

Great for hot spots, wounds, abscesses, itchy skin, skin infections and irritations, rashes, bug bites, dry skin, pustules, dermatitis and other skin problems in both dogs and cats.

 

Use as topically as needed 2-3 times a day for dogs.  Use sparingly in cats, 1-2 times a day. Shake well.  Comes in spray form, safe for dogs and cats.

 

Ingredients: Pure aloe , Chinese herbal concentrate, and organic oils of lavender and neem.
